There's a story about Laura, her automobile, a mud puddle and a dress! The romantic image that emerged is typical of her ability
to take virtually nothing and turn it into something very beautiful. Laura Aldridge is a gifted San Francisco photographer who creates the romantic images she photographs. Born with a keen eye for composition and a creative sense of style, she is self
taught and always sees the world photographically. Turn Laura loose anywhere and she will find the simplest detail to expound
upon. A scrap of lace or a muddy piece of elastic found on location; a vintage hat or an old pair of shoes discovered
in one of her favorite antique shops—each is capable of inspiring a masterpiece.
Laura’s enthusiasm for her work, tenacious attention
to detail and her commitment to excellence are demanding
of the young models she photographs. However, when the chemistry is
right between Laura and the model, beauty becomes only skin deep. The rapport that is established during long hours of shooting,
result in some of these models, as well as their families, becoming a part of her personal life—many have even been taken “under her
wing.”
The images on these pages represent the culmination of Laura’s enthusiasm, inspiration and gift for photography.
